Why Starting in the Old Testament Helps Us Understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the New Testament
By starting in Genesis, with the Fall of mankind, the importance of Jesus Christ becomes apparent.
If a person starts only in the New Testament, there might be a tendency to think that Jesus is simply a philosophical alternative to whatever else is out there. Instead of “fill in the blank”, I now believe in Jesus.
But it is more than that.
Mankind at creation had fellowship with God.
Mankind lost that fellowship in the Fall.
Mankind was without hope. The broken state of mankind was carried on generation after generation. Mankind was cut off from fellowship with God. The promise of a Redeemer were given through a covenant with Abraham, carried down through Israel; ultimately Jesus Christ came through that lineage for all mankind. The summary of a person’s “before salvation through Jesus Christ” state is this; all individuals born on this planet are born in this state.
Ephesisans 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
The summary of a person’s state after being born again and reconciled to God through Christ Jesus is this.
Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
This is why Jesus is not simply another name, another philospher, another religious figure, another teacher, another prophet. Jesus did operate as a prophet, as a teacher; he is considered a religious figure.
But beyond all that, the main thing that Jesus did is to live a sinless life as the Son of God, and then die, so the sinless Lamb of God’s Blood could be shed to satisfy the just demands of Heaven. There was and is no other way to reconciliation to God except through the Blood and Cross of Jesus Christ.
I Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
Jesus Christ is not just a thought, a different religious leader’s name. Jesus Christ provided the legal remedy for the Fall, but it is up to each individual to receive it.

There’s a Growing Problem for Corporations
Among those who track these things, there is an awareness, like the fires in Maui, that they were caused by energy weapons. It is a way to express displeasure to a state that is resisting illegal invasions or perhaps a way to destroy the food supply in line with globalist objectives. Or perhaps it is a way to destroy real estate, force the original landowners out, and pick up the pieces of real estate for pennies on the dollar. In any case, weapons from space as well as weapons due to weather modification and HAARP exist.
The question is, whether corporations will allow themselves to be the fall guys for others who actually instigate disasters caused by non-natural means. The people who are the instigators become legally liable and will corporations simply allow these other entities to create chaos and then permit themselves to be the fall guys without a peep? That means that they will be carrying the legal liability for some other entity.
And while we are on the topic, this is another reason to oppose AI. With the ability to pick up voices and images, the day may come when an AI creates a video of a political enemy to the State, the video has the voice of the individual, the images of the individual … and the problem is, none of it is real. But it is put on social media and maybe tried before a judge who is an AI itself. Think ahead. See where this is going. Don’t be so willing to embrace AI. AI will be no better than the people who program it. At this point, AI probably has a greater potential for evil than good until the programming is cleaned up.
It used to be that we would talk about how small businesses and family farms were being destroyed. Now, due to the illegal invasion permitted by the occupier-in-chief administration that was not duly elected in 2020 and has taken advantage of the last four years to hasten the destruction of a nation, due to those policies we see even corporate outlets shuttering in various cities due to theft and crime.
For change to happen, it sometimes comes down to the time when it affects “me”, whatever “me”, represents … a business, a home, a farm, a corporation, a city, a school, a family, a church, a career … that finally someone says “enough is enough”. When a person’s home or business or farm is destroyed by a weather weapon or energy weapon, and it is recognized that what happened is out of natural order, the suffering and loss might lead to an investigation.
Are corporations and individuals and businesses and cities and counties and states going to allow mass destruction of agricultural crops, land, and homes and simply call it a natural disaster or will they try to find out what is causing it at the root and deal with it? And that will mean that some people hidden in the shadows are legally liable.
That is why there are such cries from the powerful to “save democracy” which in doublespeak really means to save a small group of people, oligarchs, who want to create the world in their image, and have all power, wealth and authority. They will start a war in Ukraine and kills hundreds of thousands in an proxy war in an attempt to keep their power.
So, will Xcel Energy be the fall guy or not? If it becomes the fall guy, that will embolden the cry for green energy … “an electricity company did this”.
If I am proven wrong, I apologize in advance.
But I don’t expect to be incorrect on this.

Etymology of Words
Etymology reveals the historical sources of words. English is a language where the words have historical origins. Sometimes the sources are Old English, French, Germanic or words may be sourced from other languages. Sometimes actual words and phrases make it wholesale into the English language as idioms such as “que sera sera”.
Sometimes the historical root is discernable.
Dunamis —> dynamite
shep herd (man who herds sheep) —> shepherd
But sometimes there is not a direct connection. For example, “secant” is a mathematical term. If sometime tries to say that “see can’t” became “secant”, that would be incorrect.
So to say “Rosh” is “Russia” is a maybe, not a certainty, and if it is not a certainty then perhaps some current views of prophecy may have to be modified. More information.
Making Russia the “bad guy” has seemed to work for Biblical interpretation for a while. However, at this point, Russia is upholding traditional family values and the Christian Orthodox church while the “State” in the United States wars against Christianity and the family. It would seem the “bad guy” is the United States that has various ills with world wide implications. Regardless of whether there are individuals who do not agree with the government, what is happening at the highest levels?
People’s eschatalogical views will either cause them to take part in bringing about righteous government and righteousness in every venue of society’s existence, or it will cause people to take a “que sera sera” view and complacently sit on the sidelines waiting for Jesus to come. Because there has been a predominant eschatalogical view in the United States that has involved several factors, including Russia, it has led to a certain amount of disobedience to this command.
Acts 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

East unto the West
There has been so much “Russia, Russia, Russia” phobia put out by the mainstream media, also known as “fake news”, that it is worth asking if the truth is the opposite of what they say.
Russia has been opposing what we might call the Deep State; the Deep State goes by other names as well. The Deep State wanted to export what has been done to the United States to Russia. The West/NATO/US was establishing a beach head in Ukraine.
Russia begged for the West to uphold its prior agreements and covenants and not expand NATO and not expand westward. The West/NATO/United States Deep State/Corruption/Military Industrial Complex/Neocons would not listen. Russia was forced to protect its land. Russia tried to stop the war. The West refused. The warmongers in the West have egged it on.
Russia is doing what we have failed to do in the United States. Russia is defeating the Deep State/corrupt military complex that is now woke and would extend that wokeness and destruction of traditional family values to the world if it could. This is why there are those in Washington D.C. who are determined to continue the war and call it a “threat to democracy” if they don’t win the war. It will be a threat … to them … to their tiny elite group and brand of “democracy” where they want to rule things, suck billions of dollars out of the United States, and send it to line various pockets elsewhere, laundering the money through a war in Ukraine. The war is obviously not about protecting a border considering the current condition of the United States southern border. Also, weapons sent to Ukraine can end up coming across the southern border. Who knew?
The woke corruption of the United States must be stopped; it does not need to be exported to the world. In the end, the world will thank Russia for helping to protect traditional values, which is part of the job that is being accomplished.
Matthew 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
The tragedy is hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have been needlessly murdered in this proxy war. That blood lies on the hands of the West and the United States.

That Rock was Christ
Paul the apostle said that the lessons of Israel in the Old Testament were written as an example.
I Corinthians 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
Here is another example that teaches cause and effect, sowing and reaping.
Judges 10:1 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the Lord, and served not him.
7 And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
8 And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that were on the other side Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
9 Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed.
10 And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, saying, We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim.
11 And the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
12 The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.
13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.
14 Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.
15 And the children of Israel said unto the Lord, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.
16 And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the Lord: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

What is Backsliding?
Hosea 14:4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.

Why do people get discouraged and blame God?
While there are probably many things that could be said; one reason is that people expect God to do something that is actually their responsibility (like tithe, pray, obey).
When results are not forthcoming, they blame God, not realizing their responsibility to pray, obey, decree, or otherwise be part of the process.
For a long time there has been a idea that God can do anything in the earth … He can stop wars, prevent babies from dying, or change any bad circumstance at whim.
God can do all things. But it is in accordance with the covenants that God has set up on the earth, and those have specific requirements for both parties (God’s side and mankind’s side) or fine print as we would call it today.
The idea in the world about God is “que sera, sera”, “what will be, will be”, and if it happens, God willed it. Then people blame God and say how could a loving God do “fill in the blank”. But a loving God did not do it.
The extreme version of this view (which indicates its fallacy) would be that a kid too young for a driver’s license steals the family car in rebellion, gets high on drugs and/or alcohol, drives DUI or DWI, kills someone, and then people say, “It must have been the will of God” or that “God took the person/people who were killed early for some reason unknown to us” and that “We must simply accept the will of God.”
Someone in rebellion, driving DUI or DWI, causing an accident where lives are lost was not the will of God.
That was destructive. This is what Jesus said about destruction.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The reason people say things like “God could (fill in the blank) if He wanted to” is because they believe that God is all powerful and therefore can do anything.
God is all powerful, but he is also a Law Giver and obeys his own laws and covenants in order to uphold the righteous throne of his kingdom. If God could do anything, then the moment Adam and Eve fell, he could have said “time out”, let’s have a second take of that bad scene, but that was not possible. God had already turned dominion of the earth over to mankind. God had to work to remedy the situation by coming into the earth as Jesus, legally solving the matter of the Fall as the son of God as well as the son of man, and then Jesus ascended back to heaven to sit on the right hand of the Father.
It took time and a righteous legal process (in the eyes of heaven) according to the righteous laws of God to remedy the Fall. God couldn’t and can’t just pop in and do anything at any time due to his covenants and also due to the fact that God has given mankind free will.
That is why God doesn’t send anyone to hell. People send themselves to hell by refusing to receive the remedy that Jesus Christ has already provided and freely offers to mankind. If people refuse the remedy, the default state is hell after death. It has nothing to do with works, it has to do with either having been redeemed from the sin nature of the Fall by being born again, or not having been redeemed.
II Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Once in the family, works (to use a rough comparison that theologically would never be used but helps the modern mind to understand) works will help you climb the family ladder, but works will not birth you into the family.
Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Only through Jesus can someone come into the family of God.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
It is important we use Biblical words so we can connect the dots. When a fire or hurricane destroys someone’s home, their lives are not “upended”, their lives or homes or livlihood are “destroyed”. We can begin to evaluate what happened if we start with Biblical vocabulary.
Jesus destroyed the works of the devil. In Biblical understanding Jesus made it possible for mankind to pick up at the beginning what was lost, which is dominion over the earth. By being born again through Jesus Christ, then a born again believer has access to the power of the Blood of Jesus, the authority of the name of Jesus and sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Then that individual can again have dominion or authority as it was before the Fall or even more so.
But Jesus is not the one to operate that authority on earth. Mankind is to use the authority of the name of Jesus as a policeman uses the authority of his badge to enforce law and order.
It is God’s authority. It is man’s responsibility to use that authority in accordance with the will of God.
If the results are not satisfactory, mankind in general, and we all as individuals, through prayer and reading the Bible, must discern where there are sins of omission or commission and correct those things.
Imperfect obedience brings imperfect results. And that is not God’s fault.
One of the major places to start is with tithing, which existed before the law and did not go out of existence with Jesus. Jesus did end the “stop gap” law of sacrifice that existed to temporarily cover sin until Jesus came, as Jesus was the final sacrifice for the remission of sins. Jesus did not end tithing.
People create problems for themselves when they say tithing is Old Testament so they don’t want to tithe. But then they can never experience the consistent blessing of consistent tithing if they don’t consistently tithe because they think they don’t have to do it. And then they blame God for poor results.
